David Österlindh is new
Business Area Manager for Social Care
Alfa eCare strengthens its focus on the Social Care business area by welcoming David Österlindh as new business area manager. With experience in digital transformation, data and AI, he wants to contribute to further developing Alfa eCare Welfare and help social services meet the challenges of the future.
Social services are facing major changes. Needs are increasing while many organizations are working with challenges related to skills supply, documentation requirements and limited resources. At the same time, digitalization, data and AI are creating new opportunities to develop operations and free up time for what is most important.
For David Österlindh, it was precisely the opportunity to contribute to that development that made the role attractive.
"What attracted me was the combination of a clear social mission and great business potential. Together with our customers, we want to develop how technology can free up time, increase quality and create better conditions for both employees and users."
From digitalization to business development
David sees that the next step for social services is about more than digitalization.
“Next-generation welfare technology will not just be about documentation and operational systems. Data, automation, AI and smarter decision support can reduce administration and allow more time to be spent where it makes the biggest difference, close to the individual.”
He believes that both municipalities and private contractors are increasingly looking for partners who can contribute to business development.
“Technology is important, but the crucial thing is how it is translated into concrete business benefits for employees, management and ultimately the people the business exists for.”
Great opportunities for Alfa eCare Welfare
When David gained deeper insight into Alfa eCare Welfare, he saw both a stable foundation and great potential for continued development.
"One of the biggest strengths is the breadth and comprehensiveness. Welfare supports the business through large parts of the process and provides the conditions for coherent digital flows instead of several isolated systems."
Going forward, he sees particular opportunities in data, automation and AI.
"I want to make Welfare even more cohesive, intelligent and easy to use. If we can use new technology to free up time, improve quality and provide better decision-making, we should dare to be far ahead."
An important investment for the future
For more than ten years, Albert Winter has been CEO and a driving force in Alfa eCare's development. He has also had close responsibility for the Social Care business area and worked closely with social service operations.
He is now handing over responsibility for the business area to David Österlindh, as part of Alfa eCare's continued focus on Social Care and the continued development of Alfa eCare Welfare.
"Social Care is one of Alfa eCare's most important business areas. Social services face major demands for development in the coming years, and therefore we continue to invest in both our offering and our expertise to help our customers meet the needs of the future."
"David brings experience from working at the intersection of operations, technology and business. His knowledge in digital transformation, data and AI strengthens our ability to further develop Alfa eCare Welfare and create even greater value for our customers."
"I have had the privilege of working with Welfare and our customers within Social Care for a long time, and therefore it feels extra gratifying to now hand over responsibility to David. I am convinced that his experiences and perspectives will contribute to the continued development of the business area," concludes Albert.
Looking Ahead
During his first year, David wants to focus on getting close to customers and understanding their needs.
“I want to spend a lot of time understanding our customers’ businesses and challenges. Our development must be based on the reality they face every day.”
The goal is clear:
“I hope that in a few years our customers will say that Alfa eCare has made their business easier and better. If they feel that we have not only delivered a business system but also helped them develop their business, then we have succeeded.”
